I have used Loreal Couleur Experte w/ highlighting kit for years.. usually 8.3-9.2 I have even mixed these colours together and once got a great outcome.. but lately it seems to always be too brassy and reddish. My last color was from a professional which was way too yellow.. but I endured the 2 months until serious roots showed... (my natural colour was a very natural golden blonde).. So I purchased this #9 and walla! I am truly happy with the colour!! I was so sick of the highlighting kit included with the other Loreal product and this one really intrigued me.. The same conditioner is in this kit.. but it also comes w/ a great shine creme that I love... All in all.. i am so very pleased with the turnout.. and it is so much better than my last professional job I can't tell you! I give this product 5 stars for ease of use.. good products, easy to read directions, and NO brassyness or reddy color... Usually when I dye my hair, even with other L'Oreal hair dyes, my hair turns out brassy and off-color. I even have natural blonde hair to begin with. But I've used Dream Blonde a few times now and I can tell you, it really is a dream. I'm always left with a beautiful light blonde shade and glossy, soft hair. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately no stores seem to sell this anymore and Amazon is the only place I can find it. I've been dying my hair various shades of red for just about 10 years. One of the problems with the red shades, it seems, is that they fade after about a few weeks. After growing frustrated with the same-old color I'd been using for years ("light reddish blonde" which faded to "blonde with some orange" in about 2 weeks), I decided to go dramatic with this color by Feria. Feria is known for *dramatic* color, so it seemed right up my alley. My immediate results were ~spectacular~ and I loved it!. The color was rich, prismatic, and it actually looked like I had highlights. I did notice some spots of unevenness, where areas were considerably darker red than others, which is hard to tell if it is because I was doing the coloring too soon after my previous coloring (about 3 weeks) or if the dye itself was applied unevenly (meaning you need to be hyper-vigilant about ensuring the dye is really applied evenly). McDougall (Hunterdon County, NJ) - See all my reviews    I'm a natural redhead (or was!) & for me this is the best color I've found. My sister is a hair colorist in Georgia and told me this is the only "over the counter" color that's got any decent color. The tone on tone colors are actually noticeable and you don't have to be a genius to get it right, just mix it. Note: Once I've done my roots, I add water & conditioner (Dove, cheap & good) to the dye before I pull the color through the rest of my hair. The lower I get, the more I add to the dye (I've got long hair & one bottle is enough). Helps keep from overprocessing the older hair and damaging it too much. Biggest diff. w/over the counter is the amount of ammonia...more damagins.
